Great for the painter! I don't mind the rain at all
I don't mind it NOW, ha ha.
I'd love to just have the entire inside of my house painted!!! My husband loves DIY projects but after rebuilding our house ourselves following the flood, I never want to do anything like that again. Okay--I felt that way before the flood, too!
When we purchased our home, it was a complete re-do, and a majority of the grunt work fell on me since Hubzam was at work (projects need money - thanks, honey!). Many times I had Gonzo in a carrier on my back to keep him away from things on the floor, etc. He was about 2 1/2 yrs old and no light weight. I vowed that it was my last re-do.Since then, I've had a nasty rotor cuff tear and surgery, and Mama doesn't do work over her head without prolonged discomfort. If I can't get a painter, it won't get painted. Period.
Rain is wonderful, especially when its appearance suits our plans. Very cool on getting a painter to come in. I'm the chief painter around here, and I used to paint quite frequently. (Way TOO frequently. Ditto for the wallpapering.) It'd take a helluva lot to get me back on a ladder with a roller in my hand these days, though. Which is probably a good thing. We figure with all the coats of paint I've put on these walls in the past 40+ years, I've taken away enough of our square footage. HA
I love the "square footage" taken away comment. That's hilarious...AND TRUE.
Hm... how close is he to CT? (Nice celebration!)
Note close enough, Diana.... :-)
Hi, Cherdo! Sorry not to stop by for so long - crazy busy. Enjoy the rain.
I feel the love, Squid. I'll take ya whenever you can stop by!
It didn't rain enough over the spring and summer, in my opinion, but now it's raining like crazy.I'd like a paint job.
We are definitely soggy over the last few days, but again - I'm elated. Hubzam is out of town and I can mess up the house, rearrange stuff and get that painting down. I love to think that he will come home to a "newish" look.
Thanks for your personal yada, yada, yada,Love, Cherdo
