That's two virtual landslides for me as mature Bowie of 1999 wallops psychedelic Bowie of 1972.
I didn't respond to comments this time to make sure my opinion didn't impact any of the opinions in the Bowie vs. Bowie battle. "Starman" didn't seem like a song that would get a lot of attention at Bowie's passing. Boy, was I wrong. Soon after his death was announced, his hometown of Brixton honored him with a mural and public gathering. True fandom erupted.
Bowie and Brixton:
As for our "contenders," I loved the mature Bowie, too. Vocally, I definitely preferred 1999 Bowie. Even more than that, I loved his smile and the feeling that he was really enjoying himself. Rolling his eyes at the beginning of the song, he seemed fun loving and mischievous.
My friends await! Go forth and view the other battles and have a good week! Thanks for stopping by.
