Today....let's celebrate the one celebrity impression that EVERYONE can master...
Y is for Yoda!
“Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose.”
“Always pass on what you have learned.”
“Powerful you have become, the dark side I sense in you.”
“Once you start down the dark path, forever will it
dominate your destiny, consume you it will.”
“When you look at the dark side, careful you must be. For the dark side looks back.”
“You will know (the good from the bad) when you are calm, at peace. Passive.
A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.”

My theme for this month is Favorite Characters, Favorite Lines and I'm keeping it short and sweet with my daily offerings. I'm tipping my hat to those characters and lines that are memorable for a variety of reasons.
X is for X-men!
Prof. Charles Francis Xavier:
Mutation: it is the key to our evolution. It has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species on the planet. This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years. But every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward.
You know, people like you are the reason I was afraid to go to school as a child.
Logan: There's someone here.
Logan: I don't know. Keep your eye open.
Magneto: Welcome to the future.
Prof. Charles Francis Xavier: Mankind is not evil, just... uninformed.
Cyclops: He's not one of us. There's no way he's going to take orders.
Prof. Charles Francis Xavier: Give him an order worth following. He'll take it.
Wolverine: You actually go outside in these things?
Cyclops: Well, what would you prefer, yellow spandex?
Dr. Jean Grey: Mutants are not the ones mankind should fear.
We live in an age of darkness, a world full of fear, hate and intolerance. But in every age there are those who fight against it. Charles Xavier was born in a world divided, a world he tried to heal, a mission he never saw accomplished. It seems the destiny of great man to see their goals unfulfilled. Charles was more than a leader, more than a teacher, he was a friend. When we were afraid he gave us strength and when we were alone, he gave us a family. He maybe gone but his teachings lived in through us - his students. Wherever we may go, we must carry on his vision and that's a vision of a world united.
What's that? Out there...in the distance...could it be? Yes! It's the end of the A-to-Z, looming on the horizon. I'm amazed I am getting through it because it's a super crazy month... #AtoZChallenge Today's post is a tribute to a character from a television series that initially seemed like everything I would turn my back on...a terminal diagnosis...a teacher who goes from good to bad...gets deeply involved in drugs...gradually destroying all he held dear. Remarkably, it was a favorite of mine because no one does Breaking Bad like Walter White. Short and sweet, I keep reminding myself.
W is for Walter!
"Chemistry is, well technically, chemistry is the study of matter.
But I prefer to see it as the study of change."
Jesse Pinkman: "Yeah, Mr. White! Yeah, science!"
"My name is Walter Hartwell White. I live at 308 Negra Arroyo Lane, Albuquerque, New Mexico. 87104. To all law enforcement entities, this
is not an admission of guilt. I am speaking to my family now. Skyler,
you are the love of my life, I hope you know that. Walter junior, you're
my big man. There are... there are going to be some things, things that
you'll come to learn about me in the next few days. I just want you to know that, no matter how it may look, I only had you in my heart. Goodbye."
Saul Goodman (to Walter & Jesse):
“Look, let’s start with some tough love.
You two suck at peddling meth. Period.”
Walter to Jesse:
"What have you got in your life? Nothing. Nobody. Oh, wait. Yes.
Video games and go-carts. "
Walter White: You said no half-measures.
Mike Ehrmantraut: Mmmmm yeah - Funny how words
can be so open to interpretation.
"Walt …I want my kids back. I want my life back. Please
tell me…how much is enough? How big does this pile have to be?"
Walter: “You clearly don’t know who you’re talking to, so let me clue you in.
I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me? No! I am the one who knocks!”
Walter: "Wait for what? What are you waiting for?"
Skyler: "The cancer to come back. ”
"We’re done when I say we’re done."
"Jesse, you asked me if I was in the meth business or
the money business. Neither. I'm in the empire business."
Hats off to all you blogsters who are still hanging on to the A-to-Z! This is a new favorite of mine because of the wide array of topics and the variety of blogs that participate. Not worthy, not worthy! But still here... #AtoZChallenge Today's post is a tribute to a character from a movie that made all my international friends think we were shooting each other in the streets. It's all "family" inThe Godfather and the head of the family is Vito Corleone.
Short and sweet, let's get to the character for today:
V is for Vito!
Revenge is a dish that tastes best when it is cold.
I understand. You found paradise in America, had a good trade, made a good living. The police protected you; and there were courts of law. And you didn't need a friend of me. But uh, now you come to me and you say -- 'Don Corleone give me justice.' -- But you don't ask with respect. You don't offer friendship. You don't even think to call me Godfather. Instead, you come into my house on the day my daughter is to be married, and you uh ask me to do murder, for money.
Each man has his own destiny.
Some day, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me. Until that day accept this justice as a gift on my daughter's wedding day.
Never get angry. Never make a threat. Reason with people.
Never let people out of the family know what you are thinking again.
I want you to use all your powers and all your skills. I don't want his mother to see him this way. [sobbing] Look how they massacred my boy.
It's true I have a lot of friends in politics, but they wouldn't be so friendly if they knew my business was drugs instead of gambling which they consider a harmless vice. But drugs, that's a dirty business.
A lawyer with his briefcase can steal more than a hundred men with guns.
I promise, that on the souls of my grandchildren, I will not be the one to break the peace we've made here today.
