Favorite Characters, Favorite Lines: C is for Cher

Welcome to the A-to-Z Challenge, peeps!  Marvel at the wide array of topics the participating bloggers have cooked up for us this month. It's gonna be a hoot. Thanks to Arlee Bird for creating this challenge!

Don't forget to visit the list and you'll find some new pals. ... #AtoZChallenge

My themes is Favorite Characters, Favorite Lines and I'm keeping it short and sweet. Sometimes, I like 'em dumb...as in the movie Clueless.

C is for Cher!

"Daddy's a litigator. Those are the scariest kind of lawyer. Even Lucy, our maid, is terrified of him. And daddy's so good he gets $500 an hour to fight with people. But he fights with me for free because I'm his daughter."

"Until mankind is peaceful enough not to have violence on the news, there's no point in taking it out of shows that need it for entertainment value."

"He does dress better than I do, what would I bring to the relationship?"

"As if!"

"Do you prefer "fashion victim" or "ensembly challenged"?"

"A licensed driver with nothing to do? Where would I find such a loser?"

Cher: If it’s a concussion, you have to keep her conscious, okay? Ask her questions.
Elton: What’s seven times seven?
Cher: Stuff she knows!

Mel: So, what did you do in school today?
Cher: Well, I broke in my purple clogs.

Josh: [while watching news about a war in Bosnia] You look confused.
Cher: Well, I thought they declared peace in the Middle East.

See ya tomorrow with D!

  2. The sad thing is that many people actually are like Cher from this film especially when I read the last quote. It is a funny movie though

    1. Humor is always solidly based in reality. The thing that cracks me up about Cher is her confidence in the face of some really stupid thought processes. But the movie is funny.

You may be surprised that this is my favorite line from the trailer.

    1. Aha - fooled ya! I can't think of a good quote from that one. My real first name is Cheryl and I had a friend who always tried to shorten it to Cher...ugh. I hated that. (Cherdo is the way a little kid pronounced my name and it stuck).

  19. Great movie! I love Mel, especially his grilling of Cher's dates - technique worth emulating as father of a daughter approaching that dangerous age.
