Favorite Characters, Favorite Lines: D is for Doc

Welcome to the A-to-Z Challenge, peeps!  Marvel at the wide array of topics the participating bloggers have cooked up for us this month. It's gonna be a hoot. Thanks to Arlee Bird for creating this challenge!

Don't forget to visit the list and you'll find some new pals. ... #AtoZChallenge

My themes is Favorite Characters, Favorite Lines and I'm keeping it short and sweet. Bring on Tombstone's own quasi-native-ish son, Doc Holiday. Unbeknownst to me, Doc has a virtual plethora of memes floating around.

D is for Doc...Holiday!

And the best one of all...

See you tomorrow with E!

  1. Ha. I think one of those words is spelled wrong.

Also, I thought this would be about Doc from The Getaway. I was prepared to comment on Ali MacGraw.

    1. 1. If one of the words are spelled wrong on the memes, well...I can't help that.
      2. If one of the words I typed is wrong...well, usually...

Thanks! Maybe Ali MacGraw will sneak in later. :-)

  2. I have to say Val Kilmer was the best Doc Holiday who seemed to be just as flamboyant as he was portrayed onscreen

  3. This is awesome! I love Tombstone, and Doc is probably my favorite from that movie. Kilmer's portrayal ranks as the standard, in my opinion. :)

  5. Doc Holiday is a good one (but he needed a doc as he was dying of TB). I first through it was going to be the movie, "What's Up, Doc?"

    1. I know, right? Sam Elliott always smolders on screen. Purchased movies are something I always shy away from. But this one? Worth having for the re-viewing opportunities.

  11. DOC HOLLI-- er... CHERDO. DOC CHERDO...
Finally, you've used a movie character I actually know. And love.

Great choice, Doc, and "you're a daisy" for choosin' it!

BTW, 'TOMBSTONE' was filmed at an outdoor Western movie set called Mescal. It's just a short drive from both Tucson and the real Tombstone. If you're ever out Arizona-way, I recommend you take the tour. It's all there, the Oriental Saloon, The OK Corral. The only thing you won't see there is Holliday's little silver cup. It's BYOC (Bring Your Own Cup).

    1. Hey, brudder - not everyone has a little silver cup. Now that I have mine, my life is complete.

I'd love to travel out west. I've been as far as Phoenix (hey, Phoenix Ritz Carlton, you're the bomb) but that's it. I may drive to West Knoxville later this week but I don't think that will count.

Not to be materialistic, but I love my silver cup...a good friend got it for me and it was the best surprise!

  12. Doc Holliday was supercool! And a dentist at that!

  13. I just found out Doc Holiday's branch of medicine---he was a dentist.

  14. Oh dear, I do believe you've planted a huckleberry ear worm. I hope I don't need a dentist to remove it.
