BOTB Results: The Trust Battle and "Things I Never Thought I'd Hear Myself Say"

Well, now, I'd never thought I'd be saying this, but, "Yay! LSD!"

My oft repeated tale is that I like all the songs I put in battles. Face it, I get a guaranteed happy face for whoever wins the battle that way and there are few scenarios in life that can be so controlled. I'm latched on to this approach.

None of the artists, in full disclosure mode, are on my frequent flyer list by any stretch of the imagination, but I've really warmed up to LSD (Labrinth, Sia, and Diplo) lately. Even the crazy imagery is kinda fun for me. Not so much for others, but there were a couple of votes for LSD by default. It's a free-ish country, right? So...YAY!

How the votes played out:

"Thunderclouds" by LSD:
Mike
Arless
Mary
John
Stephen
Chris
Angryparsnip
Cathy

"Sober" by DEMI LOVATO:
Alex
G Dogg
Mike Spain
Birgit

"Heartless" by YE or Kanye or Mr. West:
[the null set]

There you have it, friends! To the victor....

I'm behind schedule! Run, don't walk, over to my peeps' blogs to see how they turned out. Will there be surprises? Disappointments? Tears?

There's only one way to find out. Come on...do it!

I'll see you back here on the 15th - deal?

  4. Well, LSD wins. When Velvet Underground sings about heroin, and rappers sing about "tea" "leaves" "reefer" and George Thorogood sings about "One scotch, one bourbon, one beer": Mellow out dude. When a band sings about drinking too much cough syrup, my ship has come in.

  5. Yay, LSD! And I'd mean that in any way you want to take it, but in the immediate scenario I'm glad I voted for the winner.

  6. I've never heard of LSD, the singers. I'm not so hip anymore, if I ever was.
